Notes
Says Stewart: I have found craniosacral therapy to promote an internal sense of alignment and well being. In addition, it has been instrumental in maintaining my personal clarity, awareness, integrity, and compassion. During the past year, working with Emily for my own well-being has greatly accelerated the pace of my personal growth, especially with regard to my skills at healing. While some of that result is due to the technical aspects of the work, a great deal is due to Emily’s patience, diligence and genuine presence. I am very happy that we are merging our skills and intentions to provide an awakening and healing therapeutic experience for you.
Says Emily:
Emily’s Old Bio:
It is an honor for me to contribute to your health and well-being; to witness the transformation of breath easily deepening, of muscle fibers loosening, worried thoughts fading, and the inner radiance emerging. My hope and intention is that the relaxation and peace you experience helps to bring balance and wellness to your family, your community and our world.
The background and training I bring to you is a comprehensive knowledge of both Western analytical and scientific methods of seeing the human body and Eastern concepts of the energetic systems that enliven and dance within the human form. It has also been a passion of mine to gain a greater understanding of the human psyche in order to enhance my healing potential.
My early studies in the Health Arts and Sciences Program at Goddard College included Acupressure, Healing and the Mind, Art and Healing, Counseling and Conflict Mediation, and Ecology. I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Wellness and Alternative Medicine at Johnson State College with additional coursework in Biology, Chemistry, Kinesiology, Nutrition, Multicultural Healing, Buddhism, Stress Management, and in-depth study of the evolving paradigm of health and medicine in our society. I graduated from Touchstone Healing Arts School of Massage in 2000, having completed 550 hours of professional training in therapeutic massage that included Anatomy and Physiology, Pathology, Ethics, and many hours of hands-on experience with various massage modalities. In the past two years I have enhanced my Cranio-sacral work with advanced classes from David Tomlinson.
